How are Advent songs different from Christmas carols? Advent is the Liturgical season of four weeks leading up to Christmas Day, in recognition and anticipation of the coming of Jesus. We can celebrate this season by decorating our space in purple (then change to Christmas colors on Christmas Eve), lighting candles in an Advent wreath, and also listening to Advent songs. Advent songs are different from Christmas carols because Christmas has not come yet. What are the songs which suit the Liturgical season of Advent?
