Look out for mentions of our Parish in this this specially commissioned film that tells how our experience of God and His love for us was bought by the great sacrifice of the early missionaries who brought His Good News to our shores in Singapore. These missionaries left their homes and loved ones to respond to God’s call to spread His message of love for His people.
Their selfless sacrifice over the past 200 years has enabled generations of Singaporeans to encounter the love of our Father at different points of our lives, from cradle to grave. They were instrumental in the development of the holistic education and comprehensive healthcare that we enjoy today, and in caring for the marginalised in our society.
The time has come for us to do our part in being a missionary in present-day Singapore. Let us not stop at appreciating the Faith that we have inherited from the early missionaries; one that was bought by their life of selfless sacrifice, but continue to reflect Christ’s love to all those around us. As one Church and one family, let us live out our lives in selfless service so that more will come to experience the abiding love of our Father!
